Where It All Began - With Bamboo, Time, and a Simple Question.
Oram Story
Crafted by Time. Refined by Fire.
Before Oram was a product, it was an environment.
As founders of a community school, we planted bamboo across our campus to create a better space for children.
What we did not expect was what bamboo would teach us.
It grows with patience, adapts without rushing, and stands strong over time. It showed us that the strongest things in life take time.
That idea stayed with us.
From Bamboo to Salt
In 2017, when bamboo was opened for commercial use in India, we did not see an opportunity for speed.
We saw an opportunity to build something meaningful.
We discovered an ancient Korean method where sea salt is packed into bamboo, sealed with clay, and slowly roasted over fire.
It was slow.
It was demanding.
It required patience.
That is exactly why we chose it.
A Discipline of Three
Everything at Oram begins with time.
Sea salt aged for 3 years.
Bamboo matured for 3 years.
Pine wood seasoned to burn clean and strong.
Each element is prepared before the process even begins.
Because transformation does not start with fire.
It starts with patience.
The Years That Changed Everything
When the world paused in 2020, we did not rush forward.
We let the salt rest.
The bamboo grow.
The wood season.
We used that time to understand how heat changes structure and how minerals interact.
We did not speed up.
We slowed down.
Where We Are Today
In 2025, we built our own facility designed specifically for bamboo salt roasting.
A furnace built for precision.
A process built for consistency.
Every batch follows the same discipline. Nothing rushed and nothing forced.
What Oram Stands For?
Oram is more than salt.
It is a reminder that even the simplest things deserve care and intention.
Salt became a commodity.
We chose to make it a craft again.
From bamboo that taught us patience, to fire that shaped every crystal.
This is Oram.
